Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.Exceptional benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.Your ImpactAs a Conference Administrator based in Tokyo, you will work within the Client Impact Hub and collaborate with the Conference Manager, Senior Conference Coordinator, another Conference Administrator, and Event Committee teams to deliver seamless, high-quality event experiences that reflect McKinsey’s standards of excellence.As a Conference Administrator, you will take ownership of event technology preparation, meticulously setting up and operating IT and audiovisual equipment including laptops, interpretation devices, microphones, and displays. Proper preparation and testing will enhance the quality of each event and ensure a smooth experience for attendees. You will also support the connection of devices, troubleshoot technical issues on-site, and maintain readiness of essential cables, adapters, and backup equipment.In addition to event technology setup, you will assist with broader event operations such as coordinating vendor registration, managing invoices, arranging transportation and catering, and handling material shipments. These responsibilities will contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of both internal and client-facing events.Your work will have a significant impact across the office, ensuring that every event is delivered with precision, professionalism, and technological excellence. Through your dedication, you will help strengthen McKinsey Japan’s client relationships and contribute to the firm’s mission of creating lasting impact.Your Qualifications and SkillsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience2–6 years of administrative or equivalent experience required; experience in IT helpdesk is a plusStrong technical skills, including proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and ExcelOutstanding organization skills; detail-oriented; able to prioritize and multitask; strong ownership evident through responsibility and accountability for the end product; highly proactive mindsetAbility to expand role beyond responsive support to proactive contributions and ownership for administrative tasks; ability to work independentlyAble to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentBusiness-level in both Japanese and English, written and spoken, is required
