A well-established federal contractor supporting sensitive government operations is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager. This role involves supporting mission-critical projects in a structured and highly secure environment. The successful candidate will support senior project management staff in coordinating resources, timelines, and communications across functional teams to ensure the timely and compliant execution of contract objectives. Note: Due to the nature of the contract and client, specific project details will be disclosed during later stages of the interview process. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport senior project managers with project planning, scheduling, and execution.
Coordinate team assignments, resources, and workflow across technical and administrative functions. Track progress against key milestones and deliverables. Facilitate clear communication between internal teams, subcontractors, and client representatives. Maintain and organize project documentation and reports, including security-sensitive information. Monitor quality control and assist with risk mitigation strategies. Assist with personnel onboarding processes, including security clearance documentation submissions. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, IT, or a related field. 1–2 years of relevant experience in project coordination or management support. Familiarity with federal contracting environments, particularly within law enforcement or national security sectors. Understanding of security-level document handling protocols.
Experience working with or knowledge of background investigation systems. Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills. U. S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements. Preferred QualificationsPrior experience supporting contracts with federal law enforcement or defense agencies. Experience using project management tools (e. g. , MS Project, Nifty, Asana, or Trello). Active or recent security clearance required.
