IT Internal Audit Specialist is responsible for evaluating and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls related to information systems and cybersecurity. This includes conducting regular audits, identifying risks and control gaps, and providing recommendations to enhance technical operations and mitigate cyber threats, while ensuring compliance with established policies and standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct internal audit engagements for IT systems and cybersecurity in line with approved audit plans. Assess the efficiency of technical controls and compliance with internal policies and procedures. Analyze security vulnerabilities and risks, and recommend corrective actions. Review access controls to systems, databases, and IT infrastructure.
Prepare audit reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders, following up on implementation of recommendations. Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to enhance governance and risk management practices. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Preferred certifications: CIA or equivalent. Prior experience in internal audit, cybersecurity, or IT is highly desirable. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in internal auditing, cybersecurity or IT. Required SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in audit methodologies and tools.
