Job Roles and Key Responsibilities: General ResponsibilitiesLead and execute the investment management strategy, with a primary focus on optimizing the performance and growth of educational institution’s endowment funds. Lead efforts to mitigate investment risks while adapting strategies to changing market conditions and investment objectives. Lead collaborations between the leadership of the educational institution, stakeholders, and financial institutions to build relationships, leverage expertise in establishing investment policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations, and optimize investment opportunities.

Drive initiatives to grow endowment funds through effective stewardship, fundraising campaigns, and investment management. Strategic ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of an investment strategy for the educational institution’s endowment funds, emphasizing asset allocation, portfolio diversification, and risk management to achieve targeted returns and long-term growth for the institution. Drive the identification and evaluation of investment opportunities across asset classes to maximize portfolio growth and mitigate risk. Spearhead the optimization of investment strategies to grow endowment funds over time while ensuring alignment with the educational. institution’s mission, vision, and values.

Drive the strategic direction and execution of fundraising campaigns to solicit contributions for existing and new endowment funds in line with the institution’s goals. Operational ResponsibilitiesOversee the management of endowment assets, including investment selection, portfolio construction, and performance monitoring. Lead the development and implementation of investment policies and guidelines ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and ethical standards. Monitor investment performance, analyze market conditions, and provide regular reports to the institution's leadership, donors, and stakeholders. Provide leadership and guidance on investment-related matters to institution leadership, board members, and relevant committees, advocating for sound investment practices and fiduciary responsibilities.

Ideal Experience, Capabilities and Skills: Industry Experience 20+ years of experience in a senior finance leadership role, with preferably 10+ years in a reputed institute of higher education managing endowment funds and donations. Extensive knowledge and exposure to the regulatory environment and operations of institution’s endowment funds and donations in KSA, and strong knowledge of various sub-functions of finance such as controllership, legal, and accounting. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or financial management. Master’s degree is highly preferred. Strong know-how of systems and tools such as Microsoft Suite, SAP, Finacle etc.

Management Capabilities Proven ability in setting up robust systems and processes in large organisations. Strong experience in managing financial assets and external stakeholders. Proven excellence in organisational management and providing strategic direction. Proven ability in managing and successful engagement with external stakeholders and donors. Experience in building and mentoring a high-performing team. Proven ability to develop a strong, long-term donations, endowments, and investment strategy in line with the vision and mission. Track record of increasing efficiencies, enhancing fiscal sustainability of donations and endowments.
