Job Description

You will lead the local ecommerce channel and media strategy, steering and supporting the commercial team to plan, manage and execute eRetail growth plans and continuously raise the bar in the digital space with our retail partners. Experience in eCommerce by driving online growth via pureplay customers and platforms with at least 7 years of experience, ideally in a mature digital category e. g. , health, beauty, toys, apparel. FMCG experience is a plus – but more important is an understanding of how you “trade” in an online environment.

Alternatively, you might have worked for a digital pureplay business and are intimately familiar with what it takes for a brand to be successful on a platform. Knowledge & know how to develop channel strategy and maintain eRetail promo calendars and work with our partners on a day-to-day basis to formed tailored activations that deliver strong sales growth. You know how to balance “always on” activity against tactical planning. You build relationships with our partners.

Ensure we are brilliant at the basics – taking a hands-on approach to affect that our content, search optimisation and media promotion is at the forefront for the category (supported by a range of internal and agency support). Track KPIs to ensure execution excellence according to Picture of Success (PICOS)Help us scale through the smart application of digital media, promotion and organic hacks – working in partnership with our marketing teams to develop campaign strategy, optimising campaigns and overseeing key performance reporting. Ability to define media and digital marketing strategy, balance in-platform and out-platform ads to drive conversions.

Provide ideas on how we can influence shopper behaviour on-site and how we can provide great new experiences to the eRetailer digital shelf. To brief agencies and other internal teams in things like copyrighting, design and imagery. You know what a perfect page looks like to manage content page and enhance user experience. Data literate– whether it is campaign conversion data or reports on our search rank. You have a natural ability to align the drivers of ecommerce – availability, search rank and content – to clear actions that align with an overall retailer action plan.

Once you’ve done this, you know who to tell a story back to the business on how things performed and what we should do next. A good collaborator with the ability to help sales deliver a plan in creative ways; and a partner to our global ecommerce colleagues who prize your market insights.
