The Director of Academy holds overall responsibility for the strategic direction, academic excellence, operational management, and financial sustainability of the Academy. This leadership role ensures that all programs and initiatives align with industry needs and the organization's broader mission, while fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities- Strategic & Operational LeadershipProvide strategic and operational leadership for the effective management and growth of the Academy. Develop comprehensive plans, priorities, and performance targets aligned with the Academy’s overarching strategic objectives. Ensure the Academy achieves its business, educational, and financial goals in line with corporate performance standards.
- Academic & Program DevelopmentOffer strong academic leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of high-quality academic standards. Lead the periodic review and enhancement of curricula to maintain relevance, rigor, and responsiveness to industry changes. Identify emerging industry needs and drive the design, development, and delivery of new programs and materials—including both physical and digital formats—to meet evolving market demands. - Quality Assurance & Continuous ImprovementEstablish and maintain robust quality assurance frameworks and processes to ensure ongoing academic excellence. Cultivate a data-driven culture of continuous improvement, performance measurement, and accountability across all Academy functions.
- Faculty & Learning ManagementOversee the staffing and performance management of faculty and trainers, ensuring alignment with program requirements and delivery quality. Manage the operational execution of all programs, including in-person classes, blended learning, and e-learning initiatives. - Stakeholder Engagement & PartnershipsDevelop and nurture strategic partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, academic institutions, and community organizations to advance the Academy’s mission and enhance its impact. Represent the Academy in external engagements, including conferences, industry forums, and collaborative projects.
- Financial & Resource ManagementManage the Academy’s profit and loss (P&L), ensuring that financial targets are achieved in accordance with corporate profitability and expenditure guidelines. Optimize resource allocation and ensure fiscal responsibility across all departments. - Learner Experience & OutcomesOversee all aspects of the learner journey, including orientation, academic progress, co-curricular engagement, assessments, and satisfaction. Drive efforts to enhance student outcomes, including graduation, employability, and overall program satisfaction. - Other ResponsibilitiesPerform any other duties or assignments as required to support the ongoing success and growth of the Academy. RequirementsA Master’s or Doctoral degree in Education, Business, or a related discipline.
At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in an academic, training, or education management role. Demonstrated ability to lead academic institutions with strong business acumen and strategic foresight. Deep understanding of curriculum development, quality assurance, and accreditation standards. Experience in managing academy or Continuing Education and Training (CET).
