Who We AreBy joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life.What You’ll Be DoingLeading the configuration management process to ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration information across IT infrastructureProviding support transition activities like testing and deployment while maintaining the integrity of configuration items (CIs) throughout their lifecycle.Developing, implementing, and maintaining the configuration management process.Providing configuration data to support transition activities such as testing and deployment.Identifying and documenting configuration items and their relationships.Managing changes to configuration items, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.Maintaining records of configuration item status, version history, and change logs.Conducting audits and verifications to ensure data accuracy and completeness.Collaborating with IT teams to align configuration management with development, testing, and deployment activities.Driving continuous improvement by optimizing configuration management processes.Maintaining comprehensive documentation of configuration processes, procedures, and records.What You’ll Bring AlongBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferredMinimum 10 years of experience in configuration management or a similar IT infrastructure role.DevOps experience, along with Jenkins, Gitlab is highly desirable.Deep understanding of configuration management principles and best practices.Familiarity with the ITIL framework and service management methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize configuration processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.Ability to work independently while also integrating with cross-functional teams.Experience with configuration management tools and software.Knowledge of change management and release management processes.Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or other relevant credentials.Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
