Job Title: Construction AdministratorLocation: LondonReports to: Project Manager / Construction DirectorOverviewWe are seeking a highly organised and proactive Construction Administrator to join our team within the construction and fit-out sector. The successful candidate will provide administrative and project support to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.You will act as a key link between project teams, site staff, clients, and suppliers, maintaining accurate records, managing documentation, and assisting in the coordination of day to day project operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to Project Managers, Site Managers, and the wider construction team.Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, and change orders.Maintain up-to-date records on project progress, schedules, and site reports.Assist with procurement processes, including preparing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.Coordinate communication between office and site teams, ensuring information is distributed accurately and promptly.Support project reporting requirements, including preparing meeting minutes, progress reports, and compliance documentation.Manage and update databases and document control systems.Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants regarding project timelines, documentation, and compliance requirements.Support health and safety documentation processes, ensuring all site records are properly maintained.Assist with financial administration, including invoice processing and cost tracking.Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in an administrative role within the construction or fit-out industry is essential.Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and documentation.Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of procurement, contract administration, and project finance is advantageous.Personal AttributesProfessional, reliable, and proactive attitude.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach.Willingness to learn and adapt to changing project needs.Salary and BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.Supportive and collaborative working environment.For more info apply with your CV or reach out - georgia@bigblue.uk.com
