Minimum RequirementsQualifications & SkillsBachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related fieldStrong communication and reporting abilitiesEssential: Experience and knowledge of Structural, Mechanical, Piping & Platework (SMPP)Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Estimator or in a similar roleProficiency in relevant software, including the MS Office SuiteKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost breakdowns, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and summary sheets for all SMPP componentsConduct research, gather quotations, prepare reports, and monitor forecast plansCollect and evaluate company data to estimate costs, resources, and labourCompile quotations, baseline project plans, tenders, and conduct site surveysAnalyse company data and monitor budgets and pricing using software toolsReview, assess, and prepare detailed cost estimate reportsIdentify labour, material, cost, and time requirements through research, proposals, and blueprintsOversee project stages to ensure expenditure aligns with forecast plansPresent detailed and complex reports to managementPrepare and quantify material requirements for all projects in line with budget and specifications
