Construction Foreman

For one of our key clients in Northern Sweden, we are seeking several Construction Foremen for a steel plant on lucrative long term annually renewable consultancy contracts.Accommodation covered by end client.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate construction crews and subcontractors on-site.Plan daily work schedules, allocate tasks, and monitor progress against deadlines.Ensure all work is performed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.Conduct site inspections to verify quality, safety, and adherence to project requirements.Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and project managers to address technical or logistical issues.Maintain accurate site records including timesheets, materials, and equipment usage.Oversee delivery, storage, and use of construction materials and equipment.Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance across the site.Identify and resolve on-site challenges proactively to avoid delays.Support training and mentoring of junior team members and new hires.RequirementsProven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role.Strong understanding of construction methods, drawings, and technical documents.Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.Solid knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.Good organizational and problem-solving skills.Proficient in basic computer and reporting tools (e.g., MS Office, site management software).Valid driver’s license; certifications in site safety or construction management are an asset.
