Construction Project Manager

Southland Holdings is seeking a skilled Assistant Project Manager to assist PM in our construction project involving concrete and pipe installation at water facilities in the Portland, OR area.Responsibilities:Assist the team in developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules. Coordinate resources and materials to ensure timely project completionAssist in monitoring project budgets, expenses, and costs. Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to financial targetsOversee contract negotiations, procurement, and subcontractor management. Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports. Prepare comprehensive project reports for internal and external stakeholdersHelp and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives. Foster a collaborative work environment and promote teamwork and accountabilityAddress project challenges and obstacles effectively. Implement innovative solutions to overcome issues and ensure project successQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldMinimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in water facility projectsStrong understanding of concrete and pipe installation processes and techniquesProven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from initiation to completionExcellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsKnowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in the Portland, OR areaPMP or other relevant certifications are a plusFor more than 100 years, hard-working, honest, innovative people have been building what has become SOUTHLAND HOLDINGS.
