Based at our Almelo site you'll supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with Urenco’s safety procedures, quality standards, and project requirements. Along with the opportunity to be mentored and coached by some of the smartest minds in the industry.What You’ll DoHealth, Safety & Regulatory CompliancePromote a proactive safety culture across all construction activities, acting as a visible role model for safe working practices.Ensure full compliance with Local regulations and Urenco’s Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), including oversight of contractor safety procedures.Uphold radiological safety standards, ensuring all works comply with relevant regulations and Radiological Risk Assessments.Site Supervision & Contractor ManagementOversee daily construction activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the required design and quality standards.Direct and support contractors and sub-contractors, maintaining strong on-site presence and clear communication.Review and manage risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and ensure performance aligns with project expectations.Project Integration & Technical OversightWork closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration between design and construction phases.Identify and resolve technical queries or constructability issues promptly to maintain project momentum.Progress Monitoring & ReportingMaintain accurate and timely reporting on construction progress, risks, and issues.Support the project manager with updates on site performance, manpower needs, and milestone achievements.Continuous Improvement & Knowledge SharingContribute to a culture of learning and improvement by capturing lessons learned and sharing best practices.Support efforts to enhance quality, reduce defects, and improve project delivery outcomes across future projects.What do you need to thrive in this role?To succeed as a Construction Supervisor at Urenco, you'll need a solid foundation in construction management, a commitment to safety, and strong leadership skills.Essential QualificationsNVQ Level 3/ HNC in a relevant discipline or relevant engineering qualificationHealth & Safety certifications (e.g. IOSH / NEBOSH, SMSTS)SSOW training and relevant permits (e.g. asbestos, confined space, working at height)Experience & SkillsSignificant hands-on construction experience in your disciplineProven ability to supervise and coordinate multi-disciplinary teamsFamiliarity with regulatory standards and risk managementWhat We Offer YouChallenging Role with Career Growth: Take on an exciting role with great opportunities for personal and professional development.Competitive Salary: A starting salary between €4,300 and €5,800 gross per month, based on experience.Work-Life Balance: Flexible hours, hybrid working options, and 38.5 days of annual leave (full-time).Attractive Benefits Package: Includes 8% holiday pay, 4% mid-year bonus, 3% year-end bonus, performance-based bonus, and contribution to collective health insurance.Sustainability Commitment: Working towards CO2-neutrality by 2040, with opportunities to contribute ideas.Social Activities: Fun outings and events organised by our staff association to build community.Volunteering Opportunities: Engage in meaningful volunteer work to make a positive impact.Focus on Well-being: Initiatives to promote a healthy lifestyle, balance, and job satisfaction to help you become a KERNgezonde version of yourself.Creating a diverse and inclusive workforceAs a truly global company with a presence in the UK, USA, Germany, and the Netherlands, we know that our individual differences make us stronger.
