Job Description

Job PurposeTo review, analyze, support, and coordinate consumer loan applications submitted by Branch/Head Office Sales Team through evaluating applications put forth, scoring, carrying out credit & due diligence checking, ensuring compliance to Credit Policy for good lending practices and finally giving final opinion of the application based on merits to upheld excellent asset quality for the Bank.LocationHead Office, Phnom Penh (05 Post)Major Areas of ResponsibilityReview and support Credit Appraisal Report for Consumer Loan applications submitted by Branch/Head Office Sales Team.Conduct due diligence checks on customers and authenticity of documentary evidence submitted by Branch/Head Office Sales Team furnished by the Borrowers/clients.Conduct joint site visit to premise or property of customers/clients with Branch/Head Office Sales Team on selective basis shall physical inspection or communication be needed to satisfy with soundness of their income/business in the essence of the business nature/proposal of the loan application in the Bank’s interest.Ensure compliance to ABA Credit Policy and/or relevant prescribed lending guidelines of each application and recommend appropriate mitigations if any.Analyze and determine overall credit worthiness of the Borrower/client, including but not limit to purpose, loan packaging, financial strength, repayment capacity and collateral position.Recommend bankable or non-bankable deals with risk-based justification, relevant credit risk mitigations or unmitigable concerns of each loan application prior to submission to relevant competence approving parties to make an informed decision.Closely monitor own loan portfolio outstanding recommended/reviewed for timely repayment with Branch/Head Office Sales Team to ensure Portfolio at Risk remains within acceptable level and/or to engage customers to take appropriate action in time with tailored solutions offered by the Bank.Work closely with Branch/Head Office Sales Team and credit monitoring team to follow up on all post disbursement conditions and financial covenants and ensure full compliance.Coordinate closely with Branch/Head Office Sales Team to promote an opened dialogue, efficient working relationship, and precise process flows environment along with line-manager.Act in capacity to minute and issue resolution of Credit Committee of Consumer Loan.Discuss and provide input for credit-related issues and loan packaging with Branch/Head Office Sales Team prior to/upon loan application submission with the Bank’s tailored solutions for the clients as well as to take the opportunity to cross-sell other banking products.Timely alert and follow up Branch/Head Office Sales Team to take corrective action to follow up/comply with any incomplete documents or annual review of loan portfolios (if any).Other tasks assigned by line-manager.QualificationBachelor’s degree in finance and banking, accounting, or any relevant field.Minimum one to two years of working experiences in banking and financial services industry.Good knowledge of the bank branch operations, rules and regulations, laws, granting loans, and credit risk management.Good client relationship management, analysis, communication, negotiation, problem solving and interpersonal skills.Demonstration of follow-up and compliance skills.Financial literacy and ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.Sense of judgement and common sense with both qualitative and quantitative tools.Excellent organizing, recording, and filing skills.Good math skills and ability to spot numerical errors.Ability to use and communicate in both Khmer and English and/or other languages.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bank’s software.Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.
