Human Resource and Administrative OfficerLocation: Abuja (FCT)Employment Type: Full-timeJob DescriptionThe Human Resource and Admin Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions and administrative operations of the organization. This role ensures effective implementation of HR policies, employee engagement, recruitment, records management, and smooth administrative support for all departments. Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Functions: Support the recruitment and onboarding process including job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and orientation. Maintain and update employee records and HR databases. Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies. Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
Monitor staff attendance, leave, and performance appraisal processes. Coordinate training and development programs. Prepare HR-related reports, memos, and correspondence. Promote a healthy workplace culture and employee engagement activities. Administrative FunctionsOversee office supplies, inventory, and facility management. Manage correspondences, filing systems, and document control. Ensure the office environment is clean, safe, and conducive to work. Coordinate logistics for meetings, travel, and staff events. Maintain proper records of company assets and service contracts. Support management with administrative tasks and reporting. Liaise with vendors, service providers, and regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field. 2 – 4 years of experience in a similar HR/Admin role. Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices. Proficient in MS Office and HR software tools. Professional certifications (e. g. , CIPM, SHRM) are an added advantage.
