About MAYAMAYA is an upcoming, visionary fashion brand based in Amsterdam that blends the timeless beauty of Indian craftsmanship with a clean, modern Western aesthetic. Our mission is to make South Asian textiles, techniques and artistry accessible, wearable, and celebrated globally. Rooted in cultural authenticity yet driven by contemporary design, MAYA creates fashion that is inclusive, empowering, and reflective of the heritage that inspires it.As we prepare for our official launch in March 2026, we are building a small, creative and collaborative team that will help shape the brand’s visual and communication identity from the ground up.The RoleMAYA is looking for a creative, motivated and detail-oriented Content Creator who is excited to gain hands-on experience in fashion marketing and brand building. As one of MAYA’s first creative hires, you will play a key role in developing the brand’s online presence, visual language, and storytelling across various platforms. You will work closely with the founder, marketing strategist, stylist, and designer to develop high-quality content that brings MAYA’s brand world to life.Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & Visual DevelopmentDevelop engaging visual and written content across multiple brand touchpoints: primarily Instagram, but also for the website, pop-up posters, brand announcements, press kit materials, PR packaging, etc, if needed.Create scripts, concepts, storyboards, and visual ideas for content output.Produce approximately 12–15 content assets per month, including 3–4 reels.Assist with copywriting for Instagram captions, website pages, product descriptions, email newsletters, event communication, etc. Support in creating brand visuals such as launch graphics, collection teasers, event promotions, digital flyers, and outfit lookbooks.Any additional content tasks will be briefed clearly and supported closely by the founder and strategist, and will not exceed the agreed workload.Shoot Day ProductionAttend photoshoots and content days as a natural part of the role, since most content will be captured around clothing, styling and fabric details.Capture on-site content (smartphone or camera), including behind-the-scenes clips, styling moments, close-ups, and movement shots for social media.Provide input and direction during shoots to help ensure we capture content aligned with MAYA’s aesthetic.Collaborate with external photographers during major campaign/website shoots, contributing to shotlists, creative direction, and ensuring visuals support broader content needs.Social Media & Brand SupportWork closely with the founder and strategist to maintain a strong, cohesive visual flow on Instagram.(Optional) Support with Instagram management, posting, scheduling, and engagement to broaden your experience.Help tell MAYA’s brand story through thoughtful visuals, captions, and strategic content planning.Ensure all creative output reflects the brand’s core aesthetics, values, and cultural inspiration.RequirementsCurrently studying or recently graduated in Communication Science, Media Studies, Marketing, Creative Business, Fashion Communication or a related field.Strong interest in fashion, visual storytelling, content creation and brand aesthetics.Ability to create, shoot and edit content (experience with CapCut, VN, Lightroom or similar tools).A sharp eye for composition, colour, texture and cultural detail.Strong written communication skills, especially for short-form content.Organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a start-up environment where tasks evolve.A genuine appreciation for culture, textiles and fashion craftsmanship is a plus.What We Offer€100/month compensation.A highly hands-on creative role with a direct impact on the brand’s identity and launch.Experience working on professional photoshoots and content days.Close collaboration with the founder, marketing strategist, designer and the rest of the team.A guaranteed LinkedIn endorsement + detailed letter of recommendation.Hybrid working style and flexible hours.A rare opportunity to be part of an international fashion brand’s foundational creative team and build a strong portfolio in fashion marketing.Interested?If you’re excited to help shape a new fashion brand’s visual identity and gain deep, hands-on experience in content creation, we’d love to hear from you.Let’s create something meaningful and beautiful together.
