Job Description

Job Title: Content DesignerSalary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annumHours per week: 35Location: At IOSH, we embrace hybrid working because we believe it's the key to achieving work-life balance, strategic success and fostering our collaborative culture. You'll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week (Tuesday- Thursday). The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home. Closing date: 30 September 2025Interview date: TBCAbout The RoleWe're looking for a Content Designer to join our Digital Team.

In this role, you'll create clear, user-centred content that helps people understand, navigate and act with confidence across our digital channels. Sometimes it's about shaping a single piece of content; other times, it's designing an entire end-to-end journey that makes complex information simple and accessible. Working alongside researchers, UX designers and stakeholders, you'll help us deliver content that truly works for our audiences. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact, not just on individual projects, but on the way IOSH communicates with thousands of people every day.

What You'll BringYou'll have a sharp eye for detail, a love of plain English, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, user-centric content. You'll be a natural collaborator, comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and using insight to shape your work. Above all, you'll be passionate about designing content that makes a difference.

Essential Criteria Ability to design and write content to meet user needs and make complex language and processes easy to understand and accessible to all Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and high standard of written English Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders Proven experience of writing and editing digital content, using CMS and content production processes Experience of working in agile teams and iterating content based on user research and analytics Knowledge of accessibility requirements and how content works with common assistive technologiesWhat's in it for you?We support our colleagues to bring their best selves to work, so they can deliver exceptional outcomes.
