Nexeo Belgium is a consultancy company that supports its clients in the banking, finance, insurance, and public sectors throughout all stages of their transformation projects — from business consulting to the implementation of IT solutions.As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to be part of Nexeo:An international environment (offices in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland & Canada)More than 450 employeesOver 20% growth each yearWe are currently looking for an Accounting, Reporting & Consolidation Specialist for one of our clients in the financial sector.Mission ContextThe role ensures accurate, complete, and timely reporting, accounting and consolidation processes, while supporting operational improvements and compliance with internal and external regulations.Your ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & ReportingAnalyse and validate data related to relevant trends and developments, monitoring accuracy and completeness.Identify and resolve data discrepancies by liaising with relevant departments and back-offices.Handle various internal and external reports, ensuring harmonization and clarity.Participate in updates and improvements of procedures, processes, and reporting systems.Undertake end-to-end process checks on reporting systems.AccountingReview and evaluate the use of internal accounts (suspense accounts, active accounts, etc.) across business units.Ensure proper account management and coordination between different systems, including cross-border reporting systems.Support reconciliation of balances with reporting systems and monitor consistency of financial data.Consolidation & ControlCompile internal and external financial reports for the delivery of annual accounts.Provide comments and analysis on reports to management.Participate in the implementation of administrative, operational, and internal control improvements.Translate new laws, regulatory changes, or Group requirements into system specifications.Support projects related to regulatory updates, new products/services, or cross-border transactions.Monthly & Period-End ClosingPrepare monthly reporting packages and ensure adherence to closing schedules.Reconcile balances, select relevant accounts/files, and maintain data consistency.Contribute to the explanation of the balance sheet and P&L accounts.Your ProfileExperience & Knowledge6+ years of relevant experience in accounting, reporting, and consolidation.Strong knowledge of enterprise accounting and accounting tools (e.g., SAP, BOB).Tax knowledge (Corporate Income Tax, VAT) is an advantage.Familiarity with banking products/services is preferable.Advanced MS Office skills (Excel & Access).Education & CertificationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, or similar.ITAA certification is a plus (not mandatory).LanguagesFluent in Dutch, French, and English.Soft SkillsAccuracy and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesRisk awareness and organizational sensitivityAutonomy and initiativeWork ArrangementHybrid work: ~50% on-site, 50% teleworking.Why Join UsJoin Nexeo Belgium and participate in delivering high-quality accounting, reporting, and consolidation projects for leading financial institutions.
