You want to grow and harness strong relationships with your stakeholders and deliver results.What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”You will administer the head contract of a major project and manage any related subcontracts end-to-end. The role includes preparing and tracking notices, variations, EOT claims and payment claims, managing correspondence with the Superintendent and Principal, and overseeing subcontractor performance. You will also maintain registers, monitor deadlines, and support compliance and record-keeping to protect the company’s contractual position.The role:Support the management of a complex head contract on a major project for Convergint in WA, including for example, preparation and tracking of documentation for Notices of Delay, Extension of Time claims, and Variation submissions.Prepare and review payment claims and payment schedules to ensure compliance with the contract and security of payment legislation.Act as the first point of contact with the Superintendent and Principal’s representatives, including drafting prescribed notices under the contract (Clause 46) and managing contractual compliance and correspondence to protect the company’s position.Identify and escalate contractual and commercial risks to the Project Director or General Counsel, providing recommendations and practical mitigation strategies.Liaise closely with project delivery teams (engineering, operations, safety, finance, and procurement) to ensure contractual compliance and alignment with project objectives.Assist in the development and implementation of project-specific contract administration processes to support efficiency and minimise risk.Maintain project contract registers, monitor key dates and milestones (including EOT deadlines and time bars), and ensure proactive follow-up on Superintendent determinations.Support subcontractor management: issuing subcontracts, monitoring deliverables, evaluating claims, and administering variations and extensions under back-to-back terms.Assist with ensuring compliance obligations are met including insurance, workplace health and safety, and statutory requirements.Provide accurate record-keeping and contract file management to support dispute resolution or audit processes if required.What You’ll NeedA tertiary qualification in Construction, Business, Law, or a related field (preferred but not essential with strong practical experience).At least 2 years’ experience in contract administration, project coordination, or a related commercial role within construction, engineering, or infrastructure.Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors: issuing contracts, monitoring compliance, administering variations, and resolving claims.Experience preparing, reviewing, and tracking payment claims and payment schedules, ensuring compliance with contractual and legislative requirements.Excellent attention to detail when reviewing head contract terms, subcontract agreements, and claims documentation.Strong experience working directly with the Principal and Superintendent, including issuing prescribed notices, handling variations, and responding to directions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to draft clear notices, reports, and correspondence while engaging stakeholders diplomatically and professionally.Strong stakeholder management skills — confident in dealing with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client-side representatives.Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to track deadlines, program impacts, and compliance obligations under a head contract.Ability to work independently on day-to-day contract admin tasks, escalating significant risks or disputes when required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic document management systems.Why join us?Convergint fosters a supportive, accessible, and inclusive environment in which individuals of different backgrounds and identities are able to realise their maximum potential within the company.Opportunities for career progression.Training and development provided.We have a great company culture, engage in Corporate Social Responsibility, work hard, and promote fun & laughter on a daily basis.Convergint is committed to a culture of Inclusion and Diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
