Working within a physical commodity trading environment, your main areas of focus will be:Job ResponsibilitiesPerforming internal systems validations and checksIssuing sales contracts across multiple commodities, with a focus on metals/minerals/concentratesManaging subsequent documentation & amendment as and if necessary in a timely and qualitative mannerAssessing and responding in a timely manner to counterparty contracts across multiple commoditiesLiaising with different departments within the organisation to support the contract handling.Productively interacting with third parties in order to collect all relevant information and produce consistent documentation and/or commentsSkillsAt least 3 years commodity trading contract handling experience, preferably within a dedicated contract department, and/or legal and/or operations.A good understanding of physical/cargo trading operations: e.g. delivery methods, quality & quantity determination, laytime & demurrage etc.Experience with commodities such as metals, minerals and/or concentrates is essential.CompetenciesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work in a teamHigh level of attention to detailAble to work within an organised framework and designated deadlinesProcess driven and focusedHigh level of written and spoken EnglishWell organised with the ability to manage their own time and respond to tight deadlines.
