This position is 100% remote and supports large-scale federal design and construction projects nationwide. The Contract Specialist will possess strong federal procurement experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex contracts simultaneously.Job Duties and Responsibilities:The Contract Specialist will perform a full range of pre-award and post-award contracting functions under the guidance and direction of a Contracting Officer. Duties include:Conduct acquisition planning and market research to determine contracting strategies and sourcesPrepare solicitations, Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and issuing amendmentSupport technical evaluation panels and assist with best-value tradeoff evaluationsPerform cost and price analysis, support negotiations, and prepare award documentationProcess contract awards, prepare award packages, and maintain official electronic contract filesAdminister contracts, resolve payment issues, and prepare modifications for Contracting Officer signatureSupport closeout activities and ensure all documentation meets federal and agency standardsNecessary Skills and Knowledge:Strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific supplementsMinimum Qualifications:Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, a related field, or possess equivalent professional experiencePossess at least 5 years of federal contracting experience, including experience with construction and A/E contractsPossess the ability to obtain HSPD-12 PIV credentials and pass a federal background investigation, including having resided in the United States for at least the past 3 yearsPreferred Qualifications:Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C Professional) or DAWIA equivalent preferredExperience with PRISM, FPDS, and FBMS systems preferredNOTE: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with the job.
