Controller - Retained Search

Ferretti Search is delighted to partner on a retained search with a private equity–backed manufacturing company to identify their next Controller.Location: Charlotte, NC (On-site)Compensation: $150,000–$175,000Schedule: Full-time, Monday–FridayWhat’s in it for you?Key Leadership Role: Join a rapidly growing, PE-backed manufacturer in a hands-on leadership position that directly impacts financial operations and performance.Growth Opportunity: Work alongside an experienced finance leadership team and play a central role in scaling accounting infrastructure as the company expands.Strategic & Tactical Balance: Be both the detail-oriented accounting leader and the trusted advisor driving process improvement and operational efficiency.What will your day look like?Accounting Operations: Oversee the general ledger, monthly and quarterly close, financial reporting, and consolidations across multiple locations.Cost & Inventory Accounting: Ensure accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting of manufacturing costs and inventory.Controls & Compliance: Maintain internal controls, oversee audits, and ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies.Process Improvement: Assess existing accounting processes and systems, implementing improvements that support scalability and efficiency.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, supply chain, and FP&A to align financial insights with production and performance goals.Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.Who are you?Experienced Accounting Leader: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.Manufacturing Expertise: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a solid background in cost accounting and inventory management.Private Equity Experience: Exposure to PE-backed or high-growth environments and familiarity with investor reporting requirements.Hands-On Operator: Comfortable balancing day-to-day accounting responsibilities with long-term process and system initiatives.Strong Communicator: Excellent ability to collaborate across functions and present financial information to executive leadership.Application & Contact InformationThis search is being conducted exclusively by Ferretti Search on a retained basis.
