JOB SUMMARY To supervise and safeguard the financial health of the organisation by ensuring full compliance with accounting and tax obligations, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and managing budgets and financial risks. This role serves as a vital link between strategic planning and financial performance, with responsibility for the planning, optimisation, oversight, and evaluation of the organisation’s financial, economic, and operational activities.The position also ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, provides support during monthly financial closings, and aligns financial processes with applicable accounting standards and internal policies. RESPONSIBILITIES• Conduct regular reviews of the balance sheet• Ensure timely compliance with financial, accounting, and statutory obligations• Manage and coordinate the monthly financial closing process• Perform monthly and quarterly analysis of balance sheet and profit & loss accounts• Support the Finance Director in the timely delivery of Regional and Corporate financial reports• Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards and international financial reporting standards (IFRS)• Coordinate the functions within your area of responsibility, including Banking, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Collections, and Sales• Prepare financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) for senior leadership and stakeholders• Supervise accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficient performance• Coordinate audit processes, collaborating with internal, SOX, and external auditors• Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement• Provide financial and accounting advice to senior management and other departments as needed• Manage accounting and tax documentation, ensuring records are well-organised and accessible• Maintain effective communication with tax and regulatory authorities, ensuring full compliance with reporting obligationsQualifications/Training Educated to degree level and licensedFluent in English and SpanishExperience/KnowledgeExperience in ERP systemsMinimum experience of 10 years in similar rolesHigh knowledge of ExcelStrong knowledge of IFRSElectronic AccountingExperience with auditsDeep sense of analysis and leadershipTeam managementAnalysis for process improvement and implementation of best practicesCustomer ServiceDecision makingAnalytical skillsOrganisational and planning skillsKnowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExperience in dealing with administrative authorities and willing to learn new processesSkills High level of accuracy and attention to detailTeam building skills and excellent interpersonal skillsBasic counselling and negotiation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsConfidentiality
