This role requires PLC troubleshooting expertise within a manufacturing environment, a strong understanding of electrical schematics, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver reliable and efficient control solutions.Responsibilities and Duties(Indicates an essential function)Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems for machinery and automated processesProgram, test, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and related control hardwareCreate and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layoutsSelect appropriate electrical components (PLCs, drives, sensors, relays, etc.)Support system commissioning, startup, and on-site troubleshootingCollaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and techniciansEnsure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company proceduresMaintain documentation, including manuals, drawings, and software backupsAssist with continuous improvement initiatives and system upgradesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience in electrical controls or industrial automationProven PLC troubleshooting experience within a manufacturing environmentProven experience troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of industrial electrical systems and control panelsAbility to read and create electrical schematicsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsPLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or similar)Experience with HMI/SCADA systemsExperience with VFDs, servo systems, and motion controlFamiliarity with industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, etc.)Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environmentsKnowledge of applicable electrical and safety standards (NEC, NFPA, UL, CE)
