As a Parks and Gardens Labourer, you will be an essential part of the team responsible for maintaining parks, gardens, reserves, and public amenities across Cook Shire. What you'll be doingNo two days are the same! You'll be: Undertaking general grounds maintenance including moving, bush cutting, weeding, pruning and planting. Maintaining playgrounds, sport fields, and other public spaces. Operating small plant and equipment such as tractors, mowers, blowers, chainsaws and whipper snippers.
Assisting with streetscape maintenance, minor landscaping and development tasks. Performing inspections and reporting any hazards or maintenance issues. Supporting a team that appreciates initiative, clear communication and a can-do attitude. What we're looking forPrevious experience in parks and gardens maintenance or related outdoor work. Ability to safely and competently operate relevant machinery and tools. A strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and in a team. A strong safety awareness. Physically fit and able to work in varying outdoor conditions. A current MR Class Driver's Licence (Mandatory). Construction White Card. (Mandatory).
