Join our team and start your journey today!We are looking for an expert and meticulous Electrical Engineer in Nyborg Denmark. You will be part of a multidisciplinary New Product Development (NPD) team consisting of mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers working closely together with application, sales, and production engineers to craft the products of tomorrow.

The NPD team drives product innovation by engineering sustainable solutions to support growth of the Copeland Industrial product portfolio. In this role, you will work on building new products from concept to market launch, covering all aspects such as concept development, prototyping, testing, and product documentation. You will report to the NPD Manager in Nyborg, Denmark and partner with electrical engineering team at the Vilter by Copeland factory in Milwaukee, USA. The workspace will be at the Copeland office in Nyborg, Denmark with possibility to work from home.

Key Responsibilities Of The RoleWork through technical control details, designing control circuits, sizing conductors, overcurrent protection, component selection. Provide technical support to Vilter's PLC controls platform. Build electrical schematics for Vilter equipment using AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN engineering tools. Support team members on electrical system product improvements and standards. Partner with vendors and contractors on electrical design of equipment and systems, creating work standards and collaborating with the internal team. Read and interpret electrical schematics as well as piping and instrumentation drawings. Serve as domain expert and work directly with customers to solve issues and provide product training.

Required Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. 3 – 10 years of electrical controls and design experience. Proficiency using electrical schematic CAD software preferably AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN engineering tools. A strong understanding of electrical controls and logic. Knowledge and experience of power and motor control circuits, motors, motor starters and Variable Frequent DrivesA firm understanding of how to read and interpret electrical schematics as well as piping and instrumentation drawings. Knowledge of IEC standards relevant for low-voltage design of industrial grade power and control panels.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work optimally in both a collaborative and independent environment. Proficiency in English. Occasional international travel to vendor sites. Preferred Qualifications And ExperienceExperience within electrical design for industrial compressors and/or refrigeration and heat pumps.
