With moderate direction and guidance, Copywriters work within defined limits on assignments of moderate complexity, demonstrating intermediate craft skills and knowledge reflective of a fully competent practitioner. They are also expected to uphold Taylor’s vision and values through personal behaviors.Primary Responsibilities (The What)Creative Thought LeadershipUse understanding of client’s business, brand, industry, and target consumers to offer integrated, multi-channel campaign ideas that meet client business needsRemain current on marketing, design, technology, language, and cultural trends, and infuses this knowledge into all creative workCollaborate effectively with Account and Strategy teams to bring unconventional thinking and innovation to the workCommunication & StorytellingWrite, present, and communicate in a polished, articulate and persuasive manner across all mediums, internally and externallyListen well, building relationships internally and externally through respect, responsiveness, and open dialogueDemonstrate a basic understanding of the agency's business model, structure, and offerings and how they come together in service of a client partner's business needsEffectively manage internal communications, including explaining creative ideas, setting appropriate expectations, and responding to questions or concernsBegin to demonstrate skill in leading meetings and delivering formal presentations (client and internal)Begin to contribute positively to Taylor's brand presence by engaging in social channels, thought leadership pieces, case studies, and other content and communicationsConceptingActively participate in creative ideation for digital & social content, event activations, brand identity systems, print materials, and other campaign elementsPartner effectively with others to uphold diversity of thought, integration, and collaboration across Taylor disciplinesEffectively refine ideas into fully integrated program concepts that drive business impact and deliver against defined objectivesWork on multiple workstreams/programs simultaneously, ensuring that all work fits together as part of the broader strategy and brand identityExecution / MakingDemonstrate accountability and ownership for all creative work on assigned projects, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams of account/PR, strategy, production, and analytics to develop creative that drives business impactSelf-edit creative/design work in progress, incorporating feedback and direction from senior team members and collaborating with them to evolve and elevate the workWrite creative platforms, manifestos, digital/social copy, and other copy for presentations and final executionMay attend shoots, events, edits, etc., actively collaborating with the team to ensure flawless executionPeople ManagementMay oversee the work of a fellow, beginning to learn and practice effective delegation, training, feedback delivery, recognition, expectation management, and other managerial skillsDemonstrate diversity of thought, and encourage others to do the sameMay participate in interviewing and selecting fellows for the agencyMinimum Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent education and work experience3-5 years’ work experience as a creative in PR, Advertising, or Digital/Social MarketingA conceptual thinker with an exceptional portfolio of work that is fresh, on trend, and demonstrates your strong pulse on culture, consumers, and mediaExperience working across a wide range of media, with an emphasis on integrated programs across digital/social, video, print, and event/experientialTeam player who enjoys working with and helping others in a collaborative environmentMust reside in the New York Metro area and be able to commute to our Manhattan office as neededCompensation$75,000Taylor Values (The How)Respecting What's Right: makes ethical choices and treats others with respect by embracing diversity of backgrounds and thoughtEntrepreneurial Enthusiasm: takes initiative and doesn't wait to be tapped.
