What's the job?About the role | Ko te kaupapa We are on the lookout for a Site Engineer to join our skilled and dedicated team working on a range of projects across the Canterbury region. Whether your background is in Structures, Civil, or Three Waters, this is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects that support our communities. Youâll play a key role in supporting project delivery, working closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Depending on the scale and complexity of the project, youâll either take the lead or assist senior staff with planning, coordination, and execution. We are looking for someone who can adapt to changing site conditions, lead by example, and approach every project with initiative and drive.
What youâll bring | Ko ngÄ pukenga ĹuA tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)Strong understanding of construction methodology and health & safetyExperience working on civil, structural, or water infrastructure projectsA team-focused mindset and the ability to lead and motivate crewsGood communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with clients, contractors, and internal teamsAble to stay calm under pressure, think strategically, and not afraid to bring fresh ideas to the tableYouâll be supported by an experienced engineering team and play a key role in ensuring safe, high-quality, cost-effective project outcomes.
