With over 500 professionals working across Australia Veris combines innovative technologies with some of Australia’s best spatial experience to deliver an integrated approach to the full project life cycle, from initial planning and feasibility through to construction and beyond.The OpportunityAs part of the Group Finance team, this role has primary responsibility for the preparation of the Group's ASX and statutory financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and accounting standards. Key accountabilities:Prepare the Group's annual and interim financial statements in accordance with legislative requirements and ASX listing requirementsManage and liaise with external auditors on the audit process for both year end and interim reporting purposesFinancial month-end consolidation and analysis, including preparation of the monthly Financial ReportAssist with management of the Group's treasury function and asset finance facilities including preparation and analysis of group cash-flow forecastsPreparation of annual FBT returns for Group companiesProvide advice and support on technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with legislation and accounting standardsAbout You Key skills and experience:Full membership of a professional accounting body (CA/CPA/ACCA qualified), with minimum 3 years post qualification experienceAudit background preferable but not essentialDegree level qualification in commerce or business.Well-developed knowledge of statutory, financial and fiduciary obligations, as required for compliance with legislation and accounting standards.Well-developed knowledge and experience with direct and indirect taxes.Experience with consolidated groups and tax effect accounting and related accounting standards and principlesDemonstrates highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Experience with the Greentree ERP system, NetSuite and Xero, while desirable is not essentialOur CultureWe are an Equal Opportunity employer and we encourage applications from women and Indigenous people.
