Summary & Purpose Of The PositionDevelop and deliver an aligned Public Affairs, Communications and Patient Advocacy vision, strategy and tactics, managing the company’s external reputation, shaping healthcare policy, and ensuring transparent, compliant communication with external stakeholders. Navigate the complex regulatory, access and health policy environment to foster trust with key external stakeholders including the public, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, positioning Ipsen as a partner of choice. Be an active member of Brand Teams and align the Corporate Affairs strategy and tactics to goals linked to the therapeutic areas that Ipsen is engaged with. Help position Ipsen as an employer of choice.Main Responsibilities & Technical CompetenciesPublic AffairsMap and analyse the policy priorities of the Government, Ministry of Health and key state institutions to understand how to best leverage Ipsen’s unique value proposition to build a strong external reputation, contribute to the health policy landscape and build long-term partnerships with key stakeholdersPartner closely with Industry Associations, Embassy partners and Chambers of Commerce, aligned with Ipsen’s local presence and strategic business needs and goalsDevelop and deliver a local Public Affairs vision, strategy and tactics, based on the Global strategy and aligned with the needs and priorities of the local external environmentProactively track and understand key developments and trends in the political environment, creating formal plans for Ipsen’s relations with the government and relevant institutionsMap the external stakeholder environment and develop robust and actionable stakeholder engagement plans to create, build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with key external stakeholders, positioning Ipsen as an industry leader and valued partner (including but not limited to government, MoH, EOF, SFEE, patient associations, healthcare providers, and community partners)Ensure access to innovation for patients is central to all Public Affairs strategies and plansHelp shape relevant policy areas to ensure a strong external environment for Ipsen to operate inProvide monitoring, insight, analysis and counsel on external developments and trends to internal stakeholders; provide context, advice and propose actions that help shape local strategies and presenceAct as corporate spokespersonExternal CommunicationsDevelop media strategies, communication and engagement plans to elevate Ipsen’s corporate reputation and share of voice externally. Maximise use of all channels including corporate social platformsAlign with and leverage the corporate calendar and resources to build on Ipsen’s global external presenceProvide strategic counsel to leadership team on matters related to external and internal corporate communications, crisis management and corporate reputation. Coordinate appropriate training, e.g. media trainingProactively identify, prepare for, and manage issues as needed, including liaising with appropriate functions to secure approval of media statements and media managementPatient AdvocacyTogether with the cross-functional teams - and in full compliance with local and company regulation and processes - map the patient advocacy environment and develop a patient advocacy strategy and action planLead local efforts and presence linked to disease awareness and patient activationEstablish, build, and foster strong relationships with relevant patient groups and organisations, in order to partner on shared objectives in terms of improving patient outcomes, particularly in the areas of Oncology, Neuroscience and Rare DiseaseAlign strongly with the Corporate Patient Affairs and Public Affairs teams to ensure consistent and appropriate partnerships and collaborations with patient groupsDrive our commitment to ethical and compliant operations, including working closely with the Medical team on key topics such as Grants and DonationsInternal EngagementEstablish, maintain and lead the delivery of an internal rolling communication plan and activities to support employee engagement, maximizing all channels and working in partnership with the GM, HR and Corporate/hub Comms teamAligned with the Leadership team and Corporate strategy, create and lead the delivery of the CSR plan for the siteProfileExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsExtensive experience in Corporate Affairs (Public Affairs, Communication & Advocacy)Strong understanding of the Greek media and health policy landscapeStrong knowledge of the local political and media landscape, with an extensive & developed network across these stakeholdersDepth of understanding of pharmaceutical / biotech landscape – policy, access, reimbursement challengesAbility to collaborate and build relationships with industry associations and business associatesNaturally collaborative and a strong team playerStrong strategic mindset coupled with bold and proactive action takingExcellent (agile) project management and organization skills: a strong self-starter who takes accountabilityExpertise in launching, building campaigns and driving long term outcomes while securing short term success:Market understanding & shaping years before launchSupporting price and reimbursement negotiationsSupporting patient uptake & defending the price & access post launchIntegrated corporate comms i.e. designs and integrates PA narratives into broader corporate and brand commsDigital and AI applied to Corporate affairsIntegrated corporate comms (PA narratives integrated into broader corporate and brand comms)Geo-political navigation savviness: Navigating between the Political & Business world (find the right opportunities to build bridges between the two worlds)Business Acumen: deep knowledge of the products, disease, patients we serveBehavioural Competencies RequiredInfluencesCommunicates EffectivelyDrive Vision and StrategyInstils TrustBusiness InsightsKnowledge & ExperienceEducation / Certifications:University degree in Communications, Public Administration, Political Sciences, Public Health, Public Affairs, Life sciences or a with a background and experience relevant to the roleExperienceSenior experience (min. 7 years) of Corporate Affairs (Public Affairs, Communications and Patient Advocacy);LanguagesFluency in Greek is requiredExcellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, is require
