Job DescriptionCompany Nanalysis Corp. www.nanalysis.comPosition Corporate ControllerLocation CalgaryCompany DescriptionWith headquarters in Calgary, AB, Nanalysis is a manufacturer and global supplier of high-tech instrumentation and maintenance services.Role DescriptionReporting to directly to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will lead a team of six, be responsible for full cycle accounting, the preparation of monthly and quarterly public company financial reporting materials, and budget vs actual analysis.While this is a four-to-six-month contract role, there is the potential for this to become a permanent position. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Lead the finance and accounting team of six providing guidance, training, and oversightResponsible for day-to-day financial operations of the organization including management of the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and government reporting and remittingConsolidation of six entities into monthly financial reporting package including commentary, variance analysisPreparation of quarterly and annual consolidated public company financial reporting package (IFRS)Leading the annual external auditLiaise with marketing and operational personnel regarding monthly financial performance and routine analysis and credit approvals for new customersSupervise payroll and payroll tax mattersOversee indirect tax filings, workers compensation filings, and assist with corporate tax itemsPerform other ad-hoc duties as requiredBackground and Experience Sought:Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is requiredStrong technical expertise in preparation of IFRS public company financial reportingExceptional skills in Leadership, and Team ManagementProficiency in relevant financial software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong communication, time management, and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervisionThe ability to motivate teams to produce quality work within tight deadlinesProfessional, responsive, and positive attitude is essentialCompany DescriptionNanalysis Scientific Corp. operates two primary business segments: Scientific Equipment and Security Services. Within its Scientific Equipment business is what the Company terms "MRI and NMR for industry". The Company develops and manufactures portable Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectrometers or analyzers for laboratory and industrial markets.The Company's devices are used in many industries (oil and gas, chemical, mining, pharma, biotech, flavor and fragrances, agrochemicals, law enforcement, and more) as well as numerous government and university research labs around the world. The Company continues to exploit new global market opportunities independently and with partners. With its partners, the Company provides scientific equipment sales and maintenance services globally.In 2022 the Company was awarded a five-year, $160 million contract to provide maintenance services for passenger screening equipment in Canadian airports. This has resulted in expansion of the Company's Security Services business. The Company is providing airport security equipment maintenance services in each province and territory of Canada. In addition, the Company provides commercial security equipment installation and maintenance services to a variety of customers in North America.Nanalysis Scientific Corp. operates two primary business segments: Scientific Equipment and Security Services.
