Role Description: -Oversee the review of credit memos, financial statement analysis, and proposed credit structures. Provide recommendations on corporate credit risks, ensuring alignment with credit policies and regulations. Core Responsibilities: -Conduct comprehensive reviews of credit memos and attachments, ensuring compliance with bank policies, credit risk guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Conduct thorough investigations to ensure no major negative indicators exist regarding the client. Verify that credit requests align with internal credit policies and CBE regulations, ensuring all submissions meet the required criteria for approval.
Oversee detailed analysis of financial statements to assess creditworthiness, using industry benchmarking, financial ratios, and other financial models. Evaluate and recommend optimal credit structures for corporate clients, balancing client needs with the bank's risk appetite. Continuously monitor the bank’s credit portfolio to identify and address potential risks, ensuring adequate measures are in place for portfolio health. Prepare regular reports on credit portfolio health, risk concentration, and sectoral exposure for presentation to senior management.
Regularly monitoring any early warning sign received from Credit administration and/or EWS unit on continuous basis and take the necessary action or escalate to the direct manager if needed. Technical Competencies: -Advanced Credit Analysis. Proficiency in managing large credit portfolios. Skilled in conducting stress tests and scenario analysesComprehensive knowledge of local and international credit risk regulations. Requirements / Qualifications: -Minimum 8 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or statistics from accredited university. Advanced level of Microsoft office. Full Credit Course is a must.
