Job Description
The Corporate Salesperson is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.Responsibilities:Part of the Markets Corporate FX Sales and Solutions team, based in Singapore Focus on corporate clients for FX related business with independent coverage of own portfolio of clientsTo drive E-commerce solutions for FX and to increase E-penetration for the team’s overall portfolio of corporate clients.Prospect and develop new client relationships to grow client FX/FXO wallet shareOriginate and execute meaningful cross-sell in securities, derivatives, commodities and other landmark transactionsWill independently and/or jointly work within business product to achieve the strategic growth and market share we are aiming forWork closely with Relationship Managers in developing and deepening client relationshipsPartner closely with other key businesses and functions to ensure proper product deployment based on understanding of clientHelp foster an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertiseUnderstand and analyze clients’ businesses and exposures to provide best suited sales solutions in full coordination with all relevant business partnersWork in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructureBuild a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethicsAppropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities ServicesAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:6-10 years of experiencePrevious experience in client-facing roles with proven track record on growing and maintaining relationships through value added service and commercial skillsAn entrepreneurial approach for business origination and developing new relationshipsDemonstrated interpersonal skillsEducation:Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferredThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
