Corrugated Converting Logistics Manager

Manager, Corrugated Converting Logistics Opportunity Summary: Provide logistics operational & strategic support to WestRock’s Corrugated Converting business to drive Cost Savings and Service improvement programs in Transportation and Warehousing within the Corrugated Converting business. This individual will support the Director of Logistics and work closely with operating management within the Corrugated Converting network. They are accountable for helping achieve budgeted Logistics expenses, increasing service levels, and driving productivity opportunities across the Corrugated Converting Division. They will report to the Director of Logistics for the Corrugated Converting business unit. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock: * Be an impactful part of the overall strategy for delivering world class and cost-effective logistics solutions that meet the expectations of Corrugated Converting and their internal and external customers. * Support business unit leaders through regular meetings with management teams and through scorecard reviews that establish business unit logistics priorities. Communicate logistics market information. Review spend forecasts and service trends. * Helping to achieve annual productivity objectives that are aligned with WestRock strategic initiatives, by both leading and supporting initiatives * Develop and implement creative logistics solutions as well as coordinate resources across the mill Division, Enterprise Logistics, I.T., and S&OP teams to drive productivity and improved operating performance * Address specific transportation and distribution issues on a business unit basis coordinating actions of other enterprise logistics groups (procurement, RLM’s, warehousing, analytics and finance, operations centers). * Monitor business unit logistics key performance indicators (KPI’s) actual vs. target on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Provide variance analyses to determine causes and corrective actions. What you need to Succeed: * Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics * Requisite experience demonstrating logistics competencies and effective interactions with senior leadership * Ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization * Ability to craft and deliver concise and cohesive presentations * Financial P&L understanding * Ability to lead and manage projects and people/groups * Workload management * Able to articulate a vision into actionable tasks * Possess these core competencies: Leadership and Leading change, Analytical Thinker; Problem Solver/Decision Maker; Commercial Acumen; Customer Focused; Effective Communicator; Technical/Functional Excellence; Data Analytics
