Cost Accountant

Job Title: Cost Accountant – Manufacturing Industry Location: Umm Al Quwain, UAE Employment Type: Full-Time | On-site Salary: AED 3,000 – 7,000 per month (depending on experience & qualifications)About the ClientWe are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of portable and modular solutions across the Middle East. The company produces a wide range of products including chemical, plastic, GRP, FRP, and luxury toilets, handwash stations, shower cabins, mobile trailer units, and container conversions. With a production capacity of 200+ units and a monthly supply capacity exceeding 500 units, our client provides high-quality portable sanitation solutions for both sales and rentals throughout the Middle East, Africa, and GCC regions.Role OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join their Finance team. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in cost accounting, product costing, and variance analysis within a manufacturing setup. You’ll play a key role in analyzing production costs, preparing financial reports, and providing actionable insights to management.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain cost records, product costing, and cost sheets.Conduct variance analysis (material, labour, overhead) and propose corrective actions.Establish and monitor overhead absorption rates and cost allocation methods.Track and control costs related to Raw Materials (RM), Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG).Support the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and cost audits.Apply costing methodologies such as Standard Costing, Activity-Based Costing (ABC), Job Costing, and Process Costing.Ensure accurate journal entries and assist with month-end closing.Conduct periodic cost analysis and present actionable insights to management.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.ICWAI (or equivalent) qualification – completed or pursuing intermediate level preferred.4–6 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in financial statement preparation and journal entry management.Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal).Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.Immediate joiners will be given preference.Benefits: Competitive salary package: AED 3,000 – 7,000/monthOpportunity to work with a leading manufacturing group.Exposure to a dynamic and rewarding work environment
