Job Title: Cost Engineer / Estimator (Fabrication Project – Oil & Gas Sector)📍 Location: Lagos, Nigeria💼 Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Renewable)💰 Payment Structure: Daily Rate (₦60,000 – ₦120,000/day, depending on experience)Recruitment Partner: Frointierex Limited (Outsourced HR Services)About the RoleFrointierex Limited, on behalf of our client in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a skilled Cost and Schedule Engineer to join an oil and gas project team in Lagos.Role OverviewThe Cost & Schedule Engineer is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate cost and schedule estimates throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. This role plays a key part in budgeting, bid evaluation, and financial forecasting — ensuring that all cost data is reliable, transparent, and aligned with both the project scope and prevailing market conditions.Value to the ProjectThis position provides the financial discipline and schedule predictability necessary for successful project delivery. The Cost & Schedule Engineer acts as an early warning system for potential deviations and overruns, supporting proactive decision-making through transparent reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and project schedules for all project phases. • Track and analyze cost performance, schedule progress, and resource utilization. • Identify trends, deviations, and risks, providing early alerts to project management. • Prepare cost and schedule reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Support bid evaluation, contract strategy development, and change management processes. • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to ensure financial and schedule alignment.Key Qualifications • Proven experience in project controls, cost engineering, and estimation for offshore oil & gas projects. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Finance. • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and cost estimation tools such as Cleopatra, Aspen CCE, and Excel VBA. • Strong understanding of oil & gas contracting strategies (EPC, EPCIC, lump sum, and reimbursable). • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong skills in forecasting, risk analysis, and cost modeling. • In-depth knowledge of CAPEX/OPEX structures, escalation factors, and contingency modeling techniques.tanding of CAPEX/OPEX breakdowns, escalation, and contingency modeling Why Join? • Competitive daily rate (₦60,000 – ₦100,000/day, depending on experience). • Work with a reputable Oil & Gas project team in Lagos. • Opportunity to contribute to major project success.How to ApplyInterested and qualified candidates should send their CVs to hr@frointierex.org with the subject line:“Cost / Estimate Engineer – Lagos Project”
