Cost Engineer

TitleCost EngineerKBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Cost Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia. This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.The Cost Engineer will implement all routine cost reports, regularly review cost reports with budget holders to ensure understanding, update estimates, and discuss problem areas.ResponsibilitiesMonitor, forecast, control, and report project costsImplement all routine cost reports, regularly review cost reports with budget holders to ensure understanding, update estimates, and discuss problem areasSupport financial processes as required, including contract progress invoicing, payments, cash flows, etc.Provide project variances, trending, analysis of expenditures, and completion reportsReview project costs incurred by category, calculate future costs based on labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates, and risk analysisRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or related field4 + years of cost management experience including at least 2 years of experience within Oil and Gas / LNGStrong knowledge of cost budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, and cost performance indicatorsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with ERP systemsBelong.
