Job Description

We are currently looking for a Country Contract Manager to join our team in Mozambique, supporting Bonatti’s operations onsite.This is a key role for the successful execution of our project contracts in the country. You will be responsible for managing the contractual and commercial aspects of the project, supporting the Project Director and Project Managers through all phases of contract execution.Key responsabilities:Monitor contractual obligations and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.Identify and mitigate contractual risks and proactively seek opportunities arising from the contract.Support the Project Director and Managers during negotiations of variations, changes, and claims.Define and implement contract management strategies tailored to each project.Manage client correspondence, prepare and negotiate Variation Orders, and attend client meetings.Assist in the negotiation and administration of subcontracts and purchase orders.Liaise with joint venture (JV) partners to ensure alignment on contractual matters.Support potential arbitration proceedings in coordination with legal advisors, when required.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Law5–6 years of relevant experience in contract management within the energy or industrial construction sectorProven success in managing large-scale industrial projects with complex contractual structuresStrong understanding of legal agreements, financial analytics, and commercial negotiationsExcellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skillsFluent in English (written and spoken)Rotation: 60 days in Mozambique/15 days holidayLocation: Maputo offices (Mozambique Bonatti Branch)This position is open to candidates of all genders, in full compliance with Legislative Decree No. 198/2006 and subsequent amendments, and Legislative Decrees No. 215 and No. 216 of 2003 on equal treatment.
