The company develops, owns, and operates large-scale core renewables assets. Backed by significant financial support and a mature project pipeline, the business is now expanding into the German market with a focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems - including standalone and co-located projects alongside renewable generation assets. The RoleAs Development Director / Country Manager, you will lead the company’s strategic and operational development activities across Germany. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for advancing existing projects through the late-stage development cycle to RTB, as well as identifying, structuring, and delivering new BESS and hybrid opportunities.You will act as the key local interface for landowners, developers, regulators, and grid operators, while shaping the company’s German growth strategy in alignment with its broader European vision.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full development lifecycle of standalone and co-located BESS projects, including site origination, grid connection, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.Oversee late-stage development assets and coordinate technical, legal, and financial workstreams to reach RTB and financial close.Identify and secure new BESS opportunities through greenfield development and co-development partnerships.Build and manage relationships with DSOs/TSOs, local authorities, landowners, and permitting bodies.Monitor market and policy developments in the German storage and flexibility markets to inform strategic positioning.Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, commercial, legal, ESG) to optimise project delivery and investment readiness.Develop and grow a local team over time to support the expansion of the BESS portfolio.
