Position OverviewThe Country Manager is responsible for leading and managing the overall business operations of Nabati Food in Malaysia. This role oversees commercial execution, distributor management, financial performance, and organizational development to ensure sustainable growth aligned with regional and global strategies.Key Responsibilities1. Business Strategy & Market GrowthDevelop and execute country strategies in alignment with regional and global objectives.Identify new market opportunities, channels, and partnerships to drive expansion.Lead annual business planning, sales forecasting, and performance reviews.Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to support strategic decisions.2. Sales & Commercial ExecutionOversee sales performance across all channels, including Modern Trade, General Trade, E-commerce, and Wholesale.Ensure strong trade execution, distribution coverage, and revenue achievement through effective distributor collaboration.Align trade marketing initiatives with brand guidelines and local market needs.3. Distributor & Key Account ManagementManage relationships with local distributors, ensuring compliance with company KPIs and standards.Lead negotiations on pricing, trading terms, and Joint Business Plans with key accounts.Conduct regular performance reviews to address issues and optimize operational effectiveness.4. Operational & Financial ManagementOversee budgeting, P&L management, and cost control to ensure profitable growth.Monitor inventory, demand planning, and supply chain coordination with relevant teams.Ensure compliance with all local legal, regulatory, and tax requirements.5. People LeadershipBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing local team.Provide coaching, performance evaluation, and development opportunities.Promote a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work culture.6. Stakeholder & HQ CommunicationRepresent Nabati Food Malaysia with distributors, government bodies, and external partners.Prepare and present regular business performance reports to regional and headquarters leadership.Facilitate smooth coordination between Malaysia operations and the regional/global offices.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.Minimum 10–12 years of experience in FMCG, with at least 5 years in senior commercial or country leadership roles.Strong knowledge of Malaysia’s FMCG environment and distributor management.Demonstrated ability to deliver sales targets and business growth.Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
