In this key role you will be primarily driving new business and expanding relationships with existing clients. You will be responsible for positioning Macrobond’s comprehensive economic and financial data solutions to meet the needs of investment professionals, government institutions, and corporate clients. Macrobond has a decent client base in Australia, yet there remains significant untapped potential. This is an exciting opportunity to join Macrobond as we accelerate our growth and build strong foundations across our company.Job ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development: Proactively target and acquire new clients by identifying market trends and key industry opportunities. Present Macrobond’s platform capabilities to prospects, demonstrating the value of our integrated data and analysis tools.Account Management: Build strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction while uncovering upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Collaborate closely with customer success and support teams to maintain and grow client accounts.Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a regional sales plan that aligns with Macrobond’s global strategy. Leverage market intelligence to identify opportunities in specific sectors, regions, or themes that align with Macrobond’s data offerings.Solution Selling: Understand client challenges and requirements to offer tailored solutions using Macrobond’s data products, including API integrations and automated workflows. Provide demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and support in closing deals.Collaboration: Work alongside the marketing, product, and research teams to ensure clients have access to Macrobond’s chart packs, thematic analysis, and weekly market insightsRequired Qualifications and experienceHands-on strategic B2B sales experience, preferably within SaaS and financial servicesHas experience in selling into JapanExperienced, proactive and strategic solutions sales professional with a track record of success selling software or data driven solutions to the investment community, ideally, economists, analysts and strategist from banks and asset owners and managers.Track record of achieving/exceeding sales quota and market share goals.Excellent networking ability.Skilled Solution seller with proven ability to build win-win proposals.What You’ll BringDriven and self-motivated and the desire to work in a high-performance culture with continual developmentAn ability to define and communicate a compelling value propositionExperience selling within a complex sales cycle preferred over transactional sales experienceDesire to learn and personally demo the Macrobond platform to prospects, and build existing knowledge of macroeconomics and financial marketsAn excellent long-term relationship builder, with the ability to initiate and sustain relationships with large, medium, and small sized prospective customers.A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with disparate international teams, as well as work independentlyAbility to manage priorities and effectively time manage with flexible approach.Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Our commitment to DiversityAt Macrobond, diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our culture and success.
