About the RoleWe are supporting a global engineering and consulting organisation seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead and establish its Australian operations.This is a senior leadership opportunity for a results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of the engineering consulting sector particularly within renewable energy. The successful candidate will have the vision, entrepreneurial mindset, and technical credibility to build a business from the ground up, driving growth, client engagement, and operational excellence. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the company's market entry and expansion strategy in Australia, establishing a sustainable and profitable business presence.Identify key opportunities and partnerships across the engineering and infrastructure sectors to drive long-term growth.Manage P&L for the Australian operations and ensure adherence to all local legal, regulatory, and industry standards.Act as the primary representative for the Australian market, maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and government stakeholders.Align local strategy with global business objectives, ensuring consistency in brand, quality, and delivery.Build credibility within the Australian engineering community through thought leadership, networking, and public engagement. Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.Over 15 years of experience in engineering consulting, with strong exposure to renewable energy sectors.Proven track record of launching and scaling operations, including P&L management and strategic business development.In-depth knowledge of the Australian engineering and energy markets and strong local client networks.Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging at C-suite and executive levels.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a startup-style environment while maintaining corporate discipline.
