Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicineJoin our team as a Pharmacovigilance Lead, overseeing safety systems for the Nordic countries and ensuring compliance with regulations. You’ll manage risk minimisation activities, engage with health authorities, and be a local representative of Global Medical Safety. As a manager, you'll lead and develop the Local Safety Unit, driving operational efficiency and resource management. This role offers a chance to impact patient safety within a global organization, combining leadership with meaningful safety responsibilities.Main Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesAccountable to ensure and maintain oversight on Local Operating Company (LOC) pharmacovigilance (PV) systems and processes in collaboration with appropriate functions and partners for Nordic countriesEnsure that the Local Pharmacovigilance system is managed in compliance with local regulations and company policies/procedures at a local, regional and global level and in accordance with any PV agreements with third party business partners.Ensure to have in place an appropriate system for Risk Management to assure oversight for products within its responsibility.Manage related local benefit risk activities to ensure pro-active benefit-risk management throughout product life cycleEngage with internal collaborators as the representative of Global Medical Safety (GMS)Communicate with local Health Authorities where applicable.Foster external engagements following local regulations.Ensure LOCs business needs related to PV are maintained with the local colleagues and external partners.Management ResponsibilitiesManage and direct Local Safety Unit (LSU) staff providing objectives, coaching and feedback, as per J&J guidelines.Coordinate LSU staff activities and workload demands to ensure that specified objectives are met.Ensure team members are conducting activities in accordance with current procedural documentsExplore and implement operational efficiencies within the country/territory and/or within the function.Maintain budget control through effective resource management, insight in applicable financial cost center and collaborate with financial contacts and functional leaders where needed.Serve as a member of the appropriate Regional or Cluster medical safety leadership team, when applicable.Adhere to the applicable HR processes, provide line-management support to direct reportsMinimum Qualification A degree in life, health, or pharmaceutical sciences is preferred, proficiency in Medical terminologyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFluency in the required business language(s) - Swedish & English as a minimumAbility to effectively communicate and negotiate with internal and external customers.Ability to establish and maintain open relationships within the organization and with authorities.Excellent analytical skills to identify gaps and root causes of issues and think out of the box to develop a solution.Excellent computer proficiency, e.g., MS Office,Ability to work independently with minimum supervision while meeting tight deadlines.People Leadership experience is preferredExperienceHealthcare or pharmaceutical sciences with experience in pharmaceutical regulations and R&D processes.By preference a minimum of 5 + years pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 1 year in a Pharmacovigilance role of responsibility.
