We are a court family.THE POSITIONThe Courtroom Clerk is responsible for preparing and organizing essential documents for court proceedings, including witness and exhibit lists, tag logs, and other forms required in the courtroom. This role involves setting up the courtroom for daily operations, ensuring that all files, equipment, and documents are ready for trial, and posting the daily courtroom calendar. The clerk also manages the coordination of court participants, including swearing in parties and witnesses, directing counsel and witnesses to ensure a clear record, and monitoring the CourtSmart recorder for accurate audio documentation.In addition, the clerk is responsible for entering data into CourtView, filing and processing documents, and securing exhibits and case files at the end of each day. Other tasks include lodging documents for signature, calendaring future hearings, and ensuring that the courtroom is properly maintained throughout the trial.
