Position: Customer Service RepresentativeLocation: Covington, KYHours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p (On Site)The PositionWe are looking for a full-time Customer Service Representative to join our customer-focused, supportive team.

Our Customer Service department is a fast-paced, high-energy environment, you’ll find yourself challenged and required to use critical thinking every day through a variety of in-person, email and phone conversations. You will also be surrounded by a close-knit and supportive group who has the same dedication to serving medically-complex children and their families.

Addresses complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigationAssists internal and external customers and staff through the Customer Service help desk, phone calls, email or face to face encountersUpdates patient and prescriber account information on an ongoing basis, including patient change formsEnters new prescriber information into databaseMaintains database of physician ordersObtains prescriber orders for products and services providedObtains new patient referralsCoordinate’s intake process for specialized organizationsObtains and assists with new patient referrals via telephone and completes the DME intakeObtains insurance authorization information as required for products and services providedObtains insurance benefits & completes data entry requirementsCoordinates courier service with appropriate staff for deliveries as neededCoordinates service for evening deliveriesCoordinates the New Product Request process (as applicable)Creates and confirms delivery tickets for Durable Medical Equipment (DME)Creates IV Delivery Tickets (as applicable)Maintain compliance with HIPAA and PHS requirements regarding internal and external electronic medical record (EHR) accessObtains patient supply orders via telephone, fax or helpdeskPerforms call-outs (as applicable)Prepares patient paperwork for billingProcess and coordinates paperwork from items delivered for intakeProcesses returned mailThe qualified candidate must have exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication skills.

A high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is required. RequirementsDurable medical equipment (DME) intake/ admissions experience preferredExceptionally organized, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills. A high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required. Experience in Brightree EHR a plus!The CompanyPediatric Home Service is a pediatric home health agency that has provided high quality DME and nursing services to children that are medically fragile since 1990. The majority of the clients we serve are age’s birth through 21 years old and have a variety of technologies that might include a trach, ventilator or g-tube.
