As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Digital Design and Publishing, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic team of web publishing professionals, including other designers and content contributors in the Information Services branch and across the Assembly..This is a new position.Click here for a detailed look at the position description.What You’ll DoYou’ll act with integrity to:Design layouts and creative treatments for websites and publications following the Assembly’s visual standards and guidelinesProduce high quality visuals from concept to execution using your knowledge of design, typography, layout and colour principlesProduce and maintain a library of digital assets including images, illustrations, logos and photographyCreate and communicate design concepts and ideas to client branches and teams using tools including mood boards and style guidesCreate and present design options to client branches and senior decision makersEnsure all products are user-friendly, effective, comprehensive and accessibleYou’ll support our collaboration as you:Present designs and work collaboratively with others in the Information Services branch to implement, test and iterate your creative designsWork as part of different cross-functional project teams alongside developers, subject matter experts and writers to deliver new productsHow You QualifyYou demonstrate excellence through your:University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, in design, communications, media or a related fieldExpert knowledge of visual design, illustration, and photography as it applies to print and digital materialsExcellent interpersonal and consulting abilities, including written and verbal communications skillsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of larger project teams.
