Job Description

The Credit and Collections Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the Credit Department by ensuring timely and accurate financial analysis, credit risk assessment, collections management, and order release decision-making. This role is key to maintaining strong customer relationships, minimizing credit risk, and supporting business growth through informed credit practices.Key Responsibilities:Analyze and spread financial statements for new and existing customers to support credit limit decisions in alignment with sales objectivesMaintain comprehensive and audit-compliant credit files, including documentation required for trade credit insurance claimsCollect, organize, and review supporting documents for credit evaluations, maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholdersConduct both quantitative and qualitative credit risk assessments, including credit report reviews and, when necessary, customer site visitsInvestigate and resolve past-due accounts by analyzing payment trends and collaborating with Sales and Credit ManagersSupport daily order release processes using sound judgment to balance risk management with customer service requirementsGenerate timely accounts receivable reports, aging summaries, bad debt provisions, and other key management reportsAdminister trade credit insurance processes, including internal claim preparation and policy complianceBuild and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and external partnersRepresent the company in a professional manner in all external communicationsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field1-5 years of experience in credit risk, collections, or a finance-related role; experience in commodities is a plusPrior experience working with trade credit insurance providers is an advantageStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); SAP or ERP experience preferredAbility to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFluent in English, both written and spoken
