Sitting within the Credit Control and Collections division of our Ellerslie office, you will play a pivotal role in liaising with our valued customers across Australasia, delivering excellent customer service, and finding the best solutions for them. This is a 4-month fixed term contract until the end of December 2025.How We WorkAs a Credit Collections Specialist, you will be expected to work in a hybrid office environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:Assigned workspace in Ellerslie officeCompany-issued equipmentFormal, hands-on trainingRole ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Credit Team Leader, you’ll be at the frontline making outbound calls to locate customers and investigate overdue accounts. With a flexible approach, you’ll negotiate repayment plans and solutions to suit our customers’ circumstances.As a Credit Collections Specialist, Your Responsibilities Will IncludeProactively reach out to customers with overdue accountsNegotiate, implement and monitor tailored payment solutionsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and payment plansProvide regular reports on the status of outstanding accounts and collection effortsMaintain a professional and empathetic approach when dealing with customersContribute to the continuous improvement of the collections functionQualifications & SkillsThis opportunity will suit someone with a strong background in credit control or collections. You have exceptional customer service skills and genuinely care about helping others. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to always operate in a friendly and professional manner and can work independently if required. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is eager to learn with a great can-do attitude!To be considered for this role, you must also have the following skills and experience:3+ years Credit Control or Collections in a commercial environmentExperience in a collection or contact centre environment, particularly supporting customers in financial difficultyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and navigate challenging conversationsA solutions-focused approach and the ability to make informed decisions to resolve a customer’s financial situationIntermediate Excel working knowledgeFamiliarity with both New Zealand and Australian customers and respective creditOur Company & PurposeCorpay is a global leader in business payments, laser focused on developing smarter ways for businesses to pay their expenses.
