They manage the entire product lifecycle, from backend systems to customer-facing experiences. By combining market insight, risk expertise, and technical precision, they deliver safe, forward-thinking solutions tailored to each region.We're looking for a Credit Manager to design credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies for our retail lending features. You'll be managing validation of the underwriting strategy, as well as leading the charge for preventative and reactive actions to the market and product offering.Up to shape what's next in finance? Let's get in touch.What You’ll Be DoingDeveloping account-level valuation and credit underwriting policies using NPV frameworks to improve portfolio-level economic returnsMaking data-driven decisions with a special focus on marginal decision-makingManaging credit limits, risk-based pricing, retention strategies, over-limit policies, etc.Adjusting risk return requirements and managing/adjusting portfolio returns as new data comes to lightSupporting the annual budget, forecast, and planning processes, from concept to deliveryTracking, communicating, and drawing insights from performance of ongoing initiatives, while staying on top of credit KPIs through intensive monitoringIdentifying operational inefficiencies and managing the implementation of small-scale change within the Credit departmentEnsuring approval and good rating of first-line credit risk function from second line, third line, and regulatorsWhat You'll NeedExperience managing the risk cycle for retail credit products, like credit cards, unsecured personal loans, etc.A bachelor's degree from a top university in an quantitative/analytical field, such as engineering, statistics, physics, maths, economics, or managementA solid understanding of credit policy governance frameworks to work through 2nd/3rd line of defence in a competent mannerA track record of delivering excellent results that exceed requirementsTo be forward-thinking to plan appropriately, meet multiple objectives, and proactively identify/resolve issuesKnowledge of credit and behavioural scoring models, especially for retail credit productsThe ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, simple mannerTo understand the value of speed to market and balance between elegant problem-solving and business needsKnowledge of the Dutch housing and mortgage marketNice to haveA master's degreeExcellent working knowledge of SQL, R, Python, and/or other data analysis toolsA willingness to learn new technology to help the business scaleBuilding a global financial super app isn’t enough.
