Role SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to assess and manage counterparty credit risk within our trading portfolio. This role involves close collaboration across departments and offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic risk management initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough credit risk evaluations for new and existing trading counterparties.Prepare and present comprehensive credit analyses with actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.Maintain and update key credit risk indicators, including internal ratings, default probabilities, and exposure limits.Monitor live credit exposures and ensure compliance with established limits to prevent financial losses.Respond swiftly to limit breaches by recommending and executing appropriate mitigation strategies.Ensure adherence to internal credit risk policies and support the continuous improvement of risk frameworks.Structure and negotiate credit support instruments such as bank guarantees, corporate guarantees, prepayments, and collateral arrangements.Manage credit insurance coverage, ensuring accurate premium calculations and timely reporting.Assist in negotiating and managing trading and collateral agreements (e.g., EFETs, ISDAs, CSAs).Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Legal, and Risk teams throughout the trade lifecycle.Contribute to the development of daily, weekly, and monthly credit risk reports for internal use.Maintain the Credit Risk Management System with accurate and timely data entries.Support commercial teams in resolving payment issues and recovery efforts involving distressed counterparties.Participate in cross-functional projects and support ad hoc risk-related initiatives and process enhancements.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in credit risk management, ideally within energy trading, commodities, or financial services.Solid understanding of credit and risk management principles, particularly in trading or structured finance.Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational capabilities.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with stakeholders across all levels.
