We’re seeking a risk professional to join Firm Risk Management’s Credit Risk Management department in Budapest at Vice President level.Firm Risk Management (FRM) supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.The role will reside within FRM’s Credit Risk Management Department in Budapest and will support the Corporates Lending team Credit Risk Management (CRM) evaluates credit risk transactions and approves rejects or modifies them considering the availability and appropriateness of arrangements for reducing risk or risk mitigation.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What You'll Do In The RoleLead a team of 3-5 credit risk analystsManage portfolio of corporate loan and derivative counterpartiesAnalyse credit risks in corporate loan transactions and derivative trade requests to recommend accurate credit risk ratings and appropriate risk appetiteAssume key role in loan transaction execution, from deal inception to financial close, including presentation at credit committee and to senior managementPrepare and oversee documentation for credit decisions, including credit memos, detailed financial forecasts, and credit risk rating modelsMaintain an active view of single name, sector, and industry trends and ongoing communication with senior stakeholders and onsite regulatory teamOrganize team’s daily tasks and responsibilitiesSet team goals and encourage efficiencies through changes to work processesCover all aspects of people management including recruitment, training, and performance managementWhat You'll Bring To The RoleBachelors degree or equivalent5+ years of experience in corporate credit analysis and financial forecasting, assigning ratings and sizing appetiteUnderstanding of financial markets, financing instruments, associated legal documentation and risk mitigating structuresStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills; experience in financial analysis and modelling (preferred)Strong attention to detail and ability to provide information in usable formats (proficiency in Microsoft office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word)Additional Skills (nice To Have)Experience developing and managing junior talentFamiliarity with financial products e.g., swaps, FX, equities (preferred) and legal documentation (e.g. ISDA, CSAs)Experience in the European regulatory landscape and interactions with regulatorsWhat You Can Expect From Morgan StanleyWe are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 90 years.
